Responsibilities

Relations with shareholders

Experian recognises the importance of effective communication with shareholders and is committed to achieving this in a number of ways:

  • Our Annual and Interim reports.
  • Our Annual General Meeting.
  • Regular meetings between shareholders, the Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer, supported by management specialising in investor relations.

It is the responsibility of the Board as a whole to ensure that a satisfactory dialogue with shareholders takes place.

At each scheduled Board meeting, the Board reviews a report of all important or relevant issues raised by shareholders during the course of meetings and discussions with them.

In addition, the Board obtains an independent insight into the views of shareholders by commissioning research from a third party adviser across a balanced sample of Experian shareholders.

Through these processes, the Board will be kept abreast of key issues.

There is a direct line of communication to the Chairman available to shareholders, particularly over issues of concern about performance, strategy or governance.
